Alison is an award winning journalist with three decades of leadership experience in TV, print, digital, and audio. Having led Freakonomics Radio as executive producer for seven years and launched its network of podcasts, Alison is uniquely qualified to help you achieve your podcasting goals. During her tenure at Freakonomics Radio, she developed and launched eight podcasts, leading all editorial, operational, and strategic aspects of a slate of shows that have been among the highest grossing and most listened-to podcasts in the world.
Alison also spearheaded Audible’s entry into the always-on, available-everywhere podcast market, launching In The Room with Peter Bergen, Audible’s first weekly podcast, which won a Signal Award for Best News & Politics podcast in its second year. She provides strategic, operational, and editorial guidance for the company’s first foray into the news podcast market. Over her career she has covered business, politics, sports, social issues, and armed conflict, and has worked with media legends including Peter Jennings, Diane Sawyer, and Barbara Walters, and podcast hosts including Stephen Dubner, Angela Duckworth, Steve Levitt, and Sean Rameswaram. She has collaborated with many media companies including Audible, SiriusXM, American Public Media, WNYC, The New York Times, ABC News, BBC, and Discovery.
